Ridgway Hall Facilties
The Ridgway Hall has recently undergone extensive refurbishment and new additions include a fully fitted kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge and freezer, crockery and utensils. This facility has been well used recently by inspiring activities such as a session with a Channel 4 'Come Dine with Me' winner who cooked a traditional Jamaican meal with the children at the youth club as well as the usual children's birthday parties and wedding receptions.
Some recent events have incorporated the use of the hall along with the open space of Cocklemoor. These have included a charity dog show and outdoor learning activities and forest school. Please turn to the events page to find out more.
The Ridgway Hall has two hall areas: the youth centre area which incorporates the kitchen and the main hall which is larger than average and is used by the well-attended bridge club and arts group and will happily accommodate more vigorous activities like children's sports and discos or bouncy castles with many large entrance doors for ease of access of large equipment.
The hall is well served by mens, ladies and disabled toilet and wash facilities as well as another unisex toilet in the main hall area, allowing for parallel activities by different user groups.
The newly refurbished lounge area beyond the kitchen houses sumptuous leather sofas and is used for relaxation by the young people from their more frenetic activities and those attending the regular blood donor sessions to wait and recuperate in comfort after donating.
