LANGPORT TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCAL GOVENMENT ACT 1972 (Section 100) ALL TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE OPEN MEETINGS TO WHICH MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AND THE PRESS ARE WELCOMED.
Meetings commence with a 15 minute Public Question Time, during which members of the public are free to address Councillors on any subject. No decisions can be made on the subjects raised, UNLESS THEY ARE ALREADY COVERED BY AN ITEM ON THE MEETING AGENDA, but will be added to the agenda for the following months meeting if appropriate.
LANGPORT TOWN TRUST MEETINGSMembers of the public and the press are now also invited to attend meetings of Langport Town Trust. Whilst there is no requirement for members of the public or press to be allowed to speak, the Chairman may invite participation of it is felt that this will enhance the meeting and the decisions taken.
