Council Services
Langport Town Council, together with the Langport Town Trust, own and administer a number of sites around Langport on behalf of its' residents.
These include:
Langport Town Hall
Located in the centre of the Town, the building is currently the home of Langport Town Council, Yeovil College Adult Learning Centre and the Somerset Trust for Sustainable Development.
To the rear of the Town Hall stands the Town Garden, which was constructed and given to the Town by Tesco when they developed their supermarket in North Street.

The Hanging Chapel
This interesting building spans the roadway on The Hill, Langport. It is currently leased to the Portcullis Lodge of the Freemasons.
Langport Cemetery
Situated on the north east side of Langport, the cemetery is administered by the Town Council.
A considerable amount of work has been done to improve the general appearance of the cemetery ground over recent years.

Ridgeway Hall
This building, located in Stacey's Court, is used as a Youth and Community Centre.
Langport Cricket Ground
These grounds, located in Bishop's Drive, have for many years been the home of the Langport and Huish Episcopi Cricket Club.
The Memorial Playing Field
Owned, jointly, by Langport Town Council and Huish Episcopi Parish Council, the field is managed by the Huish Episcopi and Langport Memorial Field Committee. Activities that take place on the site include Football and Tennis and it is also home to the local Scout group.

All Saints Churchyard
The Town Council took over responsibility for maintaining the Churchyard, adjoining All Saints Church, when it was declared a closed churchyard. This includes ensuring that the grounds, walls and gates are kept tidy and in a state of good repair. Work is shortly due to be carried out on repairs to the entrance gates to the churchyard.
Cocklemoor
This site, located between the main Town car park and the River Parrett is owned by the Environment Agency.
For many years, the Town Council were responsible for its' maintenance and letting, but recently responsibility for maintenance was taken back by the Environment Agency.
